چکیده

In this study we analyzed the potential use of Pseudo-Polar FFT algorithm for image reconstruction of synthetic aperture radiometer, and developed an effective method to improve the image reconstruction accuracy and computational efficiency simultaneously. The advantage of the new algorithm is that it takes pseudo-polar grid instead of Cartesian grid to perform the inverse Fourier transform, and it involves only 1-D interpolation, which leading to a more fast and accurate performance. As a critical stage, the interpolation algorithms that perform the changing from polar grid to pseudo-polar grid are present. At last, the superiority of the new algorithm is validated by numerical simulation. It is believed that the new approach may have wide-spread application in science and practice for synthetic aperture radiometer system. DOI: 10.2529/PIERS060904104405

Autonomous navigation airborne forward-looking synthetic aperture radar (SAR) observes the anterior inferior wide area with a short cross-track dimensional linear array as azimuth aperture. This is an application scenario that is drastically different from that of side-looking space-borne or air-borne SAR systems, which acquires azimuth synthetic aperture with along-track dimension platform mov...

Regularization Imaging Algorithm with Accurate G Matrix for Near-Field MMW Synthetic Aperture Imaging Radiometer

In order to improve the reconstruction accuracy of near-field SAIR, a novel regularization imaging algorithm based on an accurate G matrix is proposed in this paper. Due to the fact that the regularization reconstruction is usually an underdetermined problem, inaccurate operation matrix G will lead to great reconstruction error in the imaging results, or even the normal imaging cannot be obtain...

Fast and Accurate Polar Fourier Transform

In a wide range of applied problems of 2-D and 3-D imaging a continuous formulation of the problem places great emphasis on obtaining and manipulating the Fourier transform in Polar coordinates. However, the translation of continuum ideas into practical work with data sampled on a Cartesian grid is problematic. In this article we develop a fast high accuracy Polar FFT. For a given two-dimension...
